Motion Graphics

When stress hits, it can be overwhelming. It's okay to need support.

Motion graphics project with Toby Rivett, featured on Arts University Bournemouth Student Support.

Introduction

'When Stress Hits' is an animation created by myself and my teammate Toby, inspired by a talk by Kelly McGonigal on how we view stress. The aim is to help the audience feel comfortable seeking support when they need it, whilst remaining sensitive of how complex mental health can be.

Upon receiving excellent feedback for the project, we were asked by Arts University Bournemouth to add contact details of the AUB Wellbeing Service at the end of the video, encouraging students to access available support. The animation is now featured on the Student Support part of their website!

I attended a series of workshops to further my understanding of motion graphics and to develop my animation skills within After Effects. The two parts of the project can be accessed below!
